Unscientific poll

What frame rate do you consider unplayable?

For me if it dips under 20 it gets difficult to fly.

Below 10, because I've played in the teens until I got a video driver issue worked out.

It was a bit slide-showy and hard to shoot sometimes but I could play.

Consistent frame rates has been my problem.  Dropping from 60 to 40 is as bad as dropping from 30 to 20.  You get alot of little freezes that make shooting and hitting almost impossible.

With something approaching 14 years of online experience, I'd say mid 30's for reasonable gameplay.

Mid 40's to 50's is smoother, and locked at monitor refresh rate 60's is awesome.

But its not all FPS, some of it is network connect, and some of it is having a clean lean running machine.

But speaking from personal experience, once fps are consistently below mid 30's I end up flying bombers, goon, or GVing a lot. Its simply not smooth enough to be enjoyable flying.

When all is said and done if its below 50 I look at my upgrade options. I don't think all is said and done yet. I am getting 50 to 60 in heavy traffic and I think I can squeek by here. The longer I wait the cheaper it gets.
