If thats the Khaos(and I'm hoping I'm remembering this correctly) doesn't it have support for two PSUs? I'm curious to know if you actually felt it necessary to use two or if there is some advantage in say for example 2x 400W over 1x 800W.

Yes it supports 2 PSU's.  The only time I would use 2 PSU's is with Tri or Quad Sli and also using a Dual Loop H20.  Even then its does not have to be done.

I'm using a dual-PSU setup right now,I have an Antec P190+1200W. It has a special NeoPower dual system called the NeoLink,it consists of one 550W and one 650W PSU,it's a good setup,but I see 1000W PSUs online that are more powerful than this one's combined 1200W,now I'm not sure how 2 v 1 is with stability,but I DO know that I have lots of extra power for upgrades :)
