Widescreen View
« on: July 30, 2009, 06:56:34 PM »
Ok, I must have forgotten how the widescreen view is supposed to be set up. I know I had it before the update and now my view is back to the pre-widescreen capability. I have checked my video settings both on my computer and in the video settings on the log in page. Any ideas?

BTW: It's an LG 22 inch flatscreen if thats any help run on a Gateway GT5654 with a Invidia GeForce 6150SE Integrated video card.

Thanks   :salute

I should be automatic if you've chosen a widescreen resolution.  Otherwise, you can manually change it on the login screen before you go online, under Video Settings.
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0

if youre using a resolution in the game that isnt widescreen (16:10 for most LG monitors) then it wont appear as widescreen.....  for some they cannot increase resolutions for fear of FR loss or their vid card wont support it, you can simply change the field of view...... for instance on 1024x768 w/ 100° field of view is about the same as youll see on widescreen

ALl you have to do is set the game resolution to a wide screen resoltion and the game will automatically adjust the field of view to fill the screen.  1024x768 is NOT a wide screen resolution.  For example, 1280x800 is a wide screen resolution.

thats how it works for me in 1400x875 it automatically adjusts.... but when I switch to 1280x800 it does not switch to widescreen...... it shows the same as a 4:3 would.... thats why I just switched it back to 1024x768 to save the frame rates and used 100° field of view
