My father used to own one of the re-issued Monaros.... That was fun to drive.
In fact, I learnt to drive in a Monaro when they were first re-released. The old man used to work for Holden, so he'd bring home all the new Holden toys when they came out.
I used to get up to all sorts of mischief in those cars on my Ls.
I doesn't take very long to get over 100kms an hour in a V8 clubby, let me tell you.

I'm not a one-eyed Ford fan.... I'd happily buy a Holden if it were a better product. As things are at the moment, I don't think that Holden makes a car that can beat anything Ford has to offer below the V8 SS level.
Except, of course, the Sportswagon... which is an awesome car.
If I was in the market for a wagon with balls, I wouldn't even look at Ford.
The XR6T has no peer in the Holden stables and even the XR8 is a better car than the V8 SS, I think.
For what I'm driving at the moment, it's far and away in front of even much newer Holdens.
Having said that, a Supercharged VX Commodore was the first car I ever got sideways in.
