VidMem 0.0M Used 56.3M
« on: August 03, 2009, 03:27:09 PM »
I was playing around with my pre-rendered frames, and now it appears that AH isn't recognizing my VidMem anymore.  FR's dropped for mid-40's to about 7.

Any ideas?

OMW to work, won't see replies til tomorrow...

See if this will help you out:

Figured how to 'fix' it. On the start up screen when  my mouse is choppy I just go to video settings and click'ok' boom chop gone and vidmem fine. Works, don't know why

I'm only spit balling here but it seems to me this game engine is designed for motherboards sporting twin CPU's. One CPU runs the game and the other runs the graphics maybe? I don't know. What I do know is that while my system is choking right now, you're CPU is half of mine (mines almost 2GB's) and your system RAM is double mine. What I did was go to Windows Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services and shut off everything that I felt comfortable shutting off. I started the game and clicked on the initial splash screen graphics settings and lowered my resolution to 800x600 and my textures down to 128. I went into offline play and turned everything in there down or off. I've done so much in the last couple days trying out all the stuff I think will help gleaned from my own experience and from the BBS here I couldn't possibly list it all but just try stuff. One at a time and hopefully you'll hit a combination that works.
