WSOD & CTD
« on: August 05, 2009, 12:19:18 PM »
This just happened 3 times a few minutes ago while flying a 110 in the Titanic Tuesday arena. In the vicinity of A72, no enemies in sight, gaining alt and just looking around. No stutters, no symptoms, just "AHII encountered a problem and had to close".

I had no problems anyone else wasn't having in the beta version and haven't up till now through patches 1 -3 in the release version. Nothing has changed on my end.

MSI P7N mobo
E8500, 4 gb ram
GTX260
Win XP sp3

The first occurance took about 15 minutes. The second and third less than 2 minutes. I've shifted to and have been flying in Mid War now for about 10 min w/o any problems so far. No reboot in between, just re-launched the game each time. Just FYI, I don't have a clue.

CTD not WSOD :)
71 (Eagle) Squadron

What most of us want to do is simply shoot stuff and look good doing it - Chilli

Whatever.  I simply wanted to impart that there was a totally white error screen followed by an exit to desktop. Call it a WSOD or whatever you care. It's all semantics. Maybe I'm not using totally correct & accepted AH crash terminology. Forgive me. Insofar as the AH application was concerned it was a WSOD or whatever you prefer to call it. Whatever caused it did not cause a total SYSTEM crash and therefore no warm or cold reboot. It's error reporting as best as I can report it as exactly as I can report it. :)

Anyway, if someone wants a dxdiag or further info I'll be happy to provide it. And again - FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT!

BTW - the reup in MW in B17's was uneventful and went on for an hour or more until I landed the 2 surviving aircraft.
