The skateboarder survived with vertebrae fractures.  They interviewed him on the Today show. He was saved because he twisted and the angled deck took some of the impact.

Well lookie lookie, I just found it that this was one of those SOAR kids from the EW arena in the JU-88's.  Makes it even more enjoyable...Me happy.

Not Fatal at all, he got up and walked if off and performed later. He only had a few broken ribs I think. He won a medal this year at X games I believe
