Fuel leak causing FR drops?
« on: August 15, 2009, 07:37:31 PM »
At times my FR drops down to 15-20 out of the blue and the only common denominator I've noticed is there's always a plane around leaking fuel, and has happened right as I have caused other planes to start leaking.  Leaking oil, or rad doesn't do it, only fuel.  Maybe it's all in my head, anyone else noticed this?

Could be a loading error or something. Sometimes parts of the game have difficulty and in your case this may be fuel leaks. Try reducing texture and detail and see if it works. If it doesn't work, a DXDIAG may be needed.

I can understand generating a particle could cause lag, but it would be any of them (Radiators, Oil, Fuel, Fire, etc) not just one. Odd that it's just that one.

Yes it is but I believe a loading error could be to blame, possibly a corrupted file.

How long have you been a computer tech Eagleclaw?

Tec, you may have something eating at your CPU. Yesterday, when you collided with me from my front end we had plenty of room, shouldn't have collided. If something is pinging the internet its going to mess with your connection ( more lag) and as it steals cycles drop your frame rate. Check to see if you have something running in the back ground that might be hitting the connection.
