I did not read the whole thread, but I will add that this issue has cost HTC subscriptions.  While the people into this hobby trend pretty conservative, not everybody who enjoys this subject is conservative.  Having a few, ill informed, loud mouths pontificating to an audience that just wants to indulge in  a shared interest in WWII aviation and/or online PvP is rather rude.  This goes for any liberals who feel the urge to preach as well, put a stop in it and shoot somebody down.

Respect our differences and just log on to play.  If you feel the need to go into politics, there are many forums that cater to that as well as talk radio and certain TV channels.

Even some with these same players.
This will never happen, and for a good reason.

Hitech has shown in the past that the "community" aspect of this game is really a very important consideration. He want people getting into contact with each other, not a fully anonymous environment.
Some of you may remember that this was one of his main arguments for the Arena Split: In his opinion player numbers were simply getting too big to allow for real interaction & communication. Also the squad size limit of 32 was imposed for similar reasons.

So I doubt we will ever have the option to block every & all communication.

It's a better solution to mute the offenders.

It should be your own option, if you choose not to listen or read anything.  I agree on the "community" aspect of this game, which is for the most part, incredible and fun.  Lately, there are nights when it is absolutely disgusting and ignorant, and I feel, as a paying consumer, I should also have the option to block it.

If I had a child who wanted to play this game, right now, I'd demand to block all of it.

It certainly is a better option.

I nominate that one of HT's staff must monitor all public radio channels, of all three countries.  This ensures a muting will be earned.  The MODs certainly aren't doing it.

Viable?  Nope.

Just allow detuning of any radio, until you have a working mute system in place.

I'd make my kid listen and tell him, "see son, you're going to grow into a chimp like that if you don't listen up and start acting right!"

you know that HTC is only about 6 employees total +/-

and you should know if you have played this game long enough, that MODs are not always online and on every country in every arena...day in and day out.....

it is not that the MODS certianly aren't doing it, it is done and with out any bias, as long as a MOD is online and witnesses it happening.....

or have you not seen all the threads on these boards of others who have been warned/muted/ejected etc...... for their ill advised behaviour?

but I suppose, if you are willing to foot the 18 paychecks , for a 1 new HTC staff member to sit 24/7 for each different Arena ( that is 18 new employees solely for monitoring every arena on every country ) ( outside of the TA and/or the SEA while events are happening ), then by all means......I am sure dale ( hitech ) would gladly take you up on this offer......

I know you guys have the intellectual horizon of a mite, but it's not necessary to remind us about it all the time.
I agree with your OP with regards to stopping the political nonsense in the text buffer, Snailman/Lusche.

I resent your implication that I am ignorant by virtue of my citizenship.

I think I can paraphrase George C Scott here, from "Patton" - "America and the English, two nations separated by a common language."  :lol
It was George Bernard Shaw.  I had to google it.  I always thought it was Churchill.

Can you explain to me where he implicated that you were ignorant because you're an American?
As someone who was born and raised in the United States I agree with his entire post...

I didn't imply anything about you.

It's a mere fact: all "offenders" were Americans. Almost everytime I have to start to mass squelch due to politics  it's US players only, and their domestic political issues.
The term "ignorant" was clearly referring to those guys exclusively

I didn't say they were ignorant "because". I never used any word like "typical"

I even agreed with bombrich's statement that German squeakers aren't brighter. I said "only diffence: They don't play this game". But that went unnoticed, of course.

It's funny how people read things into my posts. A patriotism reflex maybe...

You should have read what I first said.... It was absolutely fabulous.......

Sadly, too many political statements (as examples) were in it.  I agree about it inGame as well.  But I also made mention that outside the Fatherland, but still on the rails, he may hear the same fool's talking about foolish things.

Can you explain to me where he implicated that you were ignorant because you're an American?
