I have had a similar thing happen with an LVT long before any of the new terrains. Must have nailed the guy from 20 feet away a dozen or more times. Pm'd him & he was just as surprised as me as to why he didn't go boom. I would say just one of those things that happens from time to time.

An opposite anecdote.. I've landed HE rounds just below the front of the LVTs and had them die instantly.  Seems pretty reliable from the small sample I've seen myself.

yeah I spent time with armor units and as said REAL WORLD,  AP would go thru.  Just not always the case in the AH WORLD sometimes.   Who knows,.................i think we all have had the weirdness from time to time.  Moot,  i never know when to film or not ya know?  I don't expect the unexpected and by the time it occurs it's too late to roll film.  Especially with that LVT,  hell saw him crawling across VBase thought noprob i'll up a sherman and pop him quick like.  LOL  never did it occur to me he would survive my shots, drop troops and capture the base............I'm an IDIOT.....{sigh}  anyways makes for a good laugh!

There is an option to auto-film every sortie, extremely useful from my own experience.
Tours: Airflyer to 69 - 77 | Dustin57 92 - 100 | Spinnich 100 - ?

Just a bit of real worldness: During Desert Storm a T-72 fired a 125mm SABOT at a Bradley. it went through the troop compartment and scared the bejesus out of everyone, but did not do anything else. That is why we carry DU SABOT and HEAT on M1's - some ammo is great for some things and not worth much for others. I just thought of that while reading this post and though I would share  :salute

HEATs been around for a long time. FSAPDS, or SABOT is now made of DU, whereas in my time it was made of a tungsten alloy. Muzzle velocity is still about a mile a second for the SABOT. Two of the rounds that was a lot of fun to fire was the old BEEHIVE and WP.  Made tankin' fun!  :D

A mile a second has to be a cool sight.

Matrix - Like Airflyer says, you can just film everything and type in something peculiar about what happened in that film, for later reference.  Or just type "delete" and save that.  You'll always have only one film like that one to delete, as AH overwrites same-name films.  And when you watch films in slow motion, things will get much clearer.  It doesn't take much difference in what you do, to go from ineffective hits to 1-shot kills.
