JU-87D-1 Stuka -Stab II./St.G 2 Bärli
« on: August 23, 2009, 11:47:57 AM »
This is another version of the default Stuka skin.  It is a D-1 from the Russian front in the summer of 42.
It has a different color scheme than the default skin.  There is a photo to back up the colors here:

I have used my stock Stuka upgraded to 1024x1024, but removed the D-3 armor plates on the sides of the cockpit.  I refreshed, re-sized and re-located the horse emblem.  The Bärli is the original since I could not improve it.  I added the colors from teh photo.  I still have my paint chipping issues, but those will be dealt with later.  My biggest question has to do with the fuselage codes.  The RH side is clearly T6+BC.  What is it supposed to be on the LH side?  I think that the correct aplpication is also T6+BC with the T over the fuselage band and the color of the C retained.  That is what I have represented here.  The default skin has CT6+B, with the C retained in the band.  That is not possible without moving the Ballenkruz forward.  What should the RH side look like?

Here are some views of the skin.

I'm all for new stukas, but it seems the colors on the screenshots are the same as the ones on our default (which is admittedly a bit dark). Looks like the profile colors and the colors on the skin are different.

Just one little note...as Krusty said the color is a bit dark and in that photo shows the colors washed out...but it's very nice work, maybe a little washed out look could enhance it...how about this for a paint scheme?

Crap, that is waaaay too dark.
When I load AHII, the colors go back to what I see.  I do have my gamme bumped in AH.
Does this mean that ALL of my colors are really darker than I see them?  I tried looking again in my paint program also without AH running, and they are very park.

Does that mean that all 3 Stuka skins are worthless? :cry

worthless, no! You still have the files you used to edit them, so you can work on them.

Return your gamma to default. See how it looks that way. If it matches the screenshots here, then edit with your gamma on default (or at least return to default to preview your latest work!)

That should help.
