Since the most recent patch, I have random lockups while in the tower. I do not necessarily have to do anything, it sometimes happens while I'm deciding what I'm going to do. It also happens after I move to a new base, or when I go to the hangar, or return.
The cursor freezes on the screen, alt+Tab does not work, nor does alt+F4. I have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete from AH, the mouse cursor remains frozen, and I have to use the keys to shut AH II down. It shows a CPU use of 50% until I can get AH II shut down.
Another issue is that I get a darkened clipboard on loading, it usually looks like there is a page from the clipboard turned up over the top, and the whole thing is about ten shades darker than normal. I have to quit the game and it sometimes takes 2-5 tries to get it to load normally, and sometimes I have to reboot the computer.
Once the game loads normally, if I do not have a tower lock up the first time I'm in the tower, it seems to run normally, no problems with frame rates, stutters, or other issues.
