I've played it up to fall 1940. Most of the countries around the world are part of the allies. Yugoslavia, Italy, Germany and Ethiopia have been nailed, so much for the axis. My mighty russians only have a couple of like minded companions from China.
Problems:
They all become allied by 1941.
Rebels are popping up just like before, being just as annoying AND now the chance for the appereance of rebels is several times higher due to several times more zones. Can't they ever get a better way of implementing unhappy civvies?
Less scripts, but there's still annoying scripts. After I had raped germans, the USA, who had been using the backdoor, got to annex the country without opposition and I only got to keep the hexes I had liberated. A script setting by default let the USA to inherit Germany instead of the side with most VPs.
