Weight doesn't make sense - T-34 was lighter than German tanks and it weighted 32 tons...

Lynx you are not right about this one... sure T-34 was lighter then Panzer V, and VI (Tiger and Panther) but not lighter then Panzer III's or IV's.

T-34/41
weight: 26.5 tonnes
T-34/42
weight: 28.5 tonnes
T-34/43
weight: 30.9 tonnes
T-34/85
weight: 32.0 tonnes

PzIVF2
weight: 23.6 tonnes
PzIVG
weight: 23.6 tonnes
PzIVH
weight: 25.0 tonnes
PzIVJ
weight: 25.0 tonnes
Panther D
weight: 43.0 tonnes
Panther A
weight: 45.5 tonnes

Realy glad that the PZIVH is the first armor in the game. It's main improvement is the 75L48 KWK 40. With this gun it was superior to every tank until the T-34/85 appeared, because it could engage enemies at very far range. Still wonder why there are no 'Schürzen' and 'östketten' on this version, Nate??

Going to love to drive this one

There are shurzen..those the skirts on turrent and hull arnt they? Ost ketten where track grousers whernt they? I believe that Nate was looking at a picture of a 9ss pz div Pz IVJ from Normandy when he did the markings on the model. They never needed grousers in Normandy(although it does have the turrent motor exaust of an H)

Mmm pongo, Ostketten or just wider tracks, used to better manouvre in muddy ground (better weight displacing, they just watched the T34 manouvrability and said hey, we want that too ...) Schurzen are thin metal plates covering the tracks (from the side) and the tower designed to let rounds predetonate on them or change their flightpath (so they don't hit the main armor, or just bounce off).

If it's a Normandy PZIVH, you are right about the ostketten, but I believe Schurzen were standard issue on all PZIVH.

Schurzen were designed to detonate HEAT warheads early before they could impact against the main armor, similar to reactive armor today.

Jeng have you looked at this picture?
Every screen shot we have of the PzIV is covered with schurzen or what ever...(dont know how to spell it just what it looks like.)
Otketten (sp) where extensions to the normal width track, they made the existing track wider they were not a wider track. Maybe grousers is the wrong term for them. The US had them for the M4 as well.
