That is too broad a question...........  What class of destroyer was it?

It could have been the Kasumi.... A Asashio Class.  (Destroyer classed but in theory, a Cruiser)

It could have been the Amatsukaze.... A Kagero Class.

But I'll bet it's a later destroyer such as the Isokaze.... Also a Kagero.

All three faced at least 9 seagoing battles.

Your time would be better spent learning how to write.

Agreed...he's from Kansas and the way he writes it's like trying to read bad English from someone whose native language was something else.

Good one LLogan and Guppy.

2)Guadalcanal (Oct. 14-15, 1942) participated in bombardmant of the marine beach head.  escape w/o a scratch

3)Guadalcanal (Nov. 14-15, 1942) participated in night raid against two U.S battleship, and four destroyer.  escape w/o a scratch

4)Vella Gulf (Aug. 6-7 1943) One of four destroyer ambushed by U.S., only one that to survive and escape w/o a scratch

5)Vella Lavella (Oct. 6-7, 1943) part of the evacuation of troops from Vella Lavella.  She was be chase by six U.S. destroyers and escape.  However, a few month later they discover that a torpedo had hit the ship's rudder not detonated but a nice twenty-one inch hole.

6) Empress Augusta Bay ( Nov. 2, 1943) she along with three cruisers and six destroyer attempting to disrupt the allied landing at Cape Torokinaon Boughainville.  No damage reported.

7) Biak (June 7, 1944) one of several Japanese ship being chase by some U.S. destroyers.  She was near near-missed five times with no significant damage.

8) Philippines Sea (June 19-21, 1944) got away w/o a scratch.

9) Surigao Strait (Oct. 25, 1944) she was the only ship in her squadron to survive, only got hit by one eight inch dud.

She finally got hit 150 miles south of Singapore on January 24, 1945 by a torpedo from U.S submarinea Blackfin.  Lost a great life
