sending in a film
« on: September 08, 2009, 09:50:51 PM »
Had a bit of a mystery death the other night, no players near me in the film. in fact the player awarded the kill doesn't even appear in the film. I had thought I was out of ack range, but could be wrong, any who I thought I'd send the film in case there's a bug in there somewhere.  I had asked someone on the other side and they seemed just as puzzled as I was.  Anyways thought it might be a bug of some sort, unless players in manned gun positions don't show in the film viewer in which case I guess it could have been a 2.4k manned ack hit, what email address should I send it to?

Thanks,

If you think something is game related, ie. a bug I'd send it to Skuzzy  support AT hitechcreations DOT com .

Just don't mention mayonnaise.

gotcha, yeah I think it's either a bug, or as I mentioned it could be a long range manned ack shot.  No one is listed as being in a manned position in the film viewer, just a couple distant aircraft and a wirlble on the runway (who didn't get the kill).  If the film viewer doesn't show people in manned gun positions then that would explain it.  Bit of a long shot, but not out of the range of the gun I don't think (about 2.3, 2.4k from the end of the runway).  So it could have just been a lucky hit as I flew away from the field.

Keep in mind, the person who actually kills you doesn't always get awarded the kill.  It's the person who pumps the most lead into you that gets the kill.

For example...earlier in your sortie someone could have shot you with a bunch of MG fire without dealing any real damage to your plane... then the FLAK might have hit you with one round making you blow up, but since the earlier plane hit you with more lead, they got awarded the kill.. and not the FLAK.

Just a theory...

Were you low enough that the ack on the train could have got you?

I'd have to watch the film again, I don't believe that I had taken any hits during the sortie previously.  I was also out over the water which would rule out the train theory.  At work right now but I'll try and send it in on ye 'ol lunch break.

Sudz, do you guys want the whole film? or just the last minute or two before I get popped and sent abruptly back to the tower?

Just the last minute

unless someone said something cool on chat or vox

The first ten minutes is a chorus of 'Sudz is the devil' while we sacrifice young sheep wearing nothing but crotchless panties and garters.

Are you sure you don't want that part too?
