Can anyone advise if the following specs would run smoothly on AH?  I am about to throw my old system and make a purchase but want to ensure the specs match up.  Would hate to explain to wife ack I have to buy additional things after a purchase like this!

I would go with an Intel Processor such as the E8400 or the E8500. If you need a quad-core, look into the i7. Memory looks alright yet in order to use all of it you will be forced to use x64 bit operating systems. The video card sucks! Get yourself a 9800 GTX+ or get yourself a GTX 600 or above. Sound will be alright, if you don't mind slowing down your system a little bit.

Hopefully that computer will work for you, not against you.

Honestly, I would build one first. However, that system looks okay. Except I don't see the Power Supply model and I'm not familiar with the video card.

What is this "MEMORY 6GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz - 4 DIMMs"  4 sticks of memory equaling 6gb?  There are no 1.5GB sticks to my knowledge.  The video card is also a problem.

The warranty is a problem since most memory makers offer lifetime warranty, hard drive makers offer at least 3 year warranty, EVGA, XFX offer lifetime warranties on their motherboards, ASUS is 3 years.  Video cards carry a 1 year to lifetime warranty. I am sure the PSU also used in this build will be somewhere between 350 and 450 watts.  Now the "BLOATWARE" that will be installed is also something to consider.

If this system is more then 499.00 its over priced.

Personally I don't like OEM products because support is up to the computer manufacturer and that tends to cycle faster than anything else.

Get rid of the Wild Tangent games thing it's trial ware anyway.

10/100 network card? Why no 10/1000 gigabit?

Looks like you went with the Inspiron series...nice systems if you're not wanting to do much gaming.

You would be better off spec'ing out an XPS 630...$1298 with 4 GB RAM and nVidia GeForce GTX 285 1024MB (non OEM)

Make sure ps is at least 600. Most of those builds only have a450w. E8400 processor would be better too.  Really research your mobo too makes it has all the features u want

i bought a dell XPS 720 nice rig but not for 3grand. i have since built the same rig for about 1150.00. take it from me you can find cheaper rigs on line at tigerdirect.com or newegg.com or a local computer store. or if you know anything about computers you can put one together yourself. Salute bro i know that computer is going to be way over priced i would not buy it

Actually Kilz...I priced out the XPS 630 pretty high for about $1300...highest price was $1800. Not bad for a high end Dell.

Okay!  I am narrowed down to one of two routes.  Thank you all for your feedback and messages.

Either with TilDeath which I have been assured by many in this community is highly recommended and qualified.  My other option is CybertronPC X-Cruiser2.  The specs are listed below.  Please note that I would replace the 350W PS with a 650W PS if I go with CybertronPC since I already bought it.

Your latest spec sheet is a little better, yet still has some unpleasant features. It only has 2 memory slots. It only holds a maximum of 4GB of memory. They're give you the slower version of the 9500GT (the 512MB equivalent is faster). And they give you an AMD processor.

I would want to get a better video card (9800 GTX+, GTX 260, GTX 285, or GTX 295 (or ATI equivalent)), a motherboard with more memory slots, a motherboard capable of holding more than 4GB of RAM, and an Intel processor such as the E8400, E8500, or an i7 920. The reason for picking Intel is because they have had a lot more success with multi-threaded processors. They consume less power, run faster, and can overclock better than anything AMD is currently selling.
