Back before the Il-2 was remodeled, I had the small bomb load (i used to be able to drop one in a pickle jar during my prime, I am out of practice now). Anyway, I dropped one right on a panzer, literally right on top of it. I saw the hit sprite and everything. The bomb bounces up in the air and starts going backwards. the bomb whistle sound is playing backwards (funniest part). You should have seen my face! lmao! The bomb then lands about 200 ft away after about 10 seconds. I was lmaoing until i discoed 10 minutes later! By far the funniest thing I ever had happen during my 2+ years of AH.

Someone posted an analytical picture of carpetbombing with a set of lancs, dumping his entire load of 14x1000 on an Ostwind. All the bombs that hit it ricocheted, while the others were too far away to do harm.

This is the reason why you dont want ANIMAL in your squad:


Squad sets up a big jabo+cap run on target. Animal is the c47. We fly in NOE, undetected and blitzed the field hard and good.

no defenders.. it was all too fast.

Animal comes in with C47.

Rather than 'chute them he decided its more classy to land the troops himself.

So he lands. Taxii's to the bunker.

Hits bunker. explodes.

3 years ago, I was flying a 262 low and slow after a fight at 30k with some 17s.

I looked behind me and a La7 was catching up pretty fast, i pushed the throttle all theway (had only 10 minutes of fuel left) and started gaining speed. He apparently just got out of a dive and was about 800 behind me, he opened up and landed a few on my tail. The tail popped off and I started flopping, I opened fired with all of my 30mm and he flew right above me when my nose was pointing up. I nailed him with 4 30s and he went boom before I even hit the ground

In AH1, I was in a 190F and I only had 2 bomblets left.
There was one last M16 in the flattened town but I was the only nme around and I hadn't any chance to surprise him.

Low on fuel, I flew NOE towards him and toss-dropped the remaining ordnance before RTBing. I wasn't expecting any result but then I saw the kill msg LOL

     was flyin in the MA yesterday and one of our bases was under attack by some GVS got a 110 got 3 down all i had was rockets left so i fired them all on 1 tiger knowing i wasent going to get a kill but after i flew away the tank exploded and i got the kill

You probably dumped a ludicrous amount of damage into the track and someone else destroyed the tank, giving you the kill.
