Gatt, the reason I say the WB D-9 had MW 50 was the speed tests.  Both Wells and I did tests which showed about 375-380 mph at SL and 435-440 mph at about 20k (I forgot the exact altitude) when using WEP.  This is pretty close to the real life test data for a D-9 with MW 50.

Climb results were way off from the real life data though, but that is typical of most WB planes, at least in WB 2.6 and the early 2.7 versions (the last ones I flew).

I think if yes, the D9 should be open to every player, its no the prob of the D9 pilots that Stang or Spit jockeys would be feared by its climbrate and turnrate. It simply a fact of WW2, and another interesting point is that the D9 could also be equiped with GM-1 to boost high alt performance, and u could use MW50 and GM-1 in the same plane, which gives u 3 forms of WEP, the normal pulling through the gate, MW50 below 6km and GM-1 above 6km.

It was widely used by JG26 and JG54, so it should be public.

Only to say it, the idea of limiting a plane to players that score a special amount of points, only favours the vulcher culture. A plane should be in the game or not in the game but not only available to a so called "Elite of AH pilots".

Well, there will be perk planes and the line has to be drawn somewhere. If it happens to be just pehind the Pony, then the MW50'ed D9 should of course be perked.

Just perk everything with german cross on them and let LW pilots to gain perk points with a fokker.
would save nerves of allied pilots when they shouldn't be that afraid.
