Guess mine would be an Aston Martin DB2... very rare, or a DB4 Zagato... extremely rare and very beautiful!      A McLaren F1 would be very tempting though, even if it is priced at nearly £700,000.

Funked, yes I have seen THX 1138, can't quite remember the types of cars, but I believe one was the Ford GT40.

DeTomaso Pantera GT-5. It and the Porsche 935S Turbo Targa lead the pack of tiny sports cars for initial speed. I like the older stuff. Mopars' to be exact. I like the million dollar Packards too.

Very custom JimDandy.

Replicant, the cars in THX 1138 were a Lola T70 and a Chaparral 2F which are both faster than anything in this thread.
I wonder how the hell Lucas got a hold of those?

I've always liked the Pantera's too. You can actually pick up the 70's Pantera's for "reasonable" prices. I like some of the 20's-50's cars like the Duesenburgs (I hope I didn't spell that to badly.   ) 32' 3-window Ford coupe, 39' and 40' Ford coupes, and of course the 55' T-bird and the 55'-57' Chevy's.

Cobra's are nice but with so many replicas around....

No.. The 1955 Austin Healey 100 is my favorite.

Beautiful car.  Fold down winshield and rare enough to get noticed.   0-60 in a tick over 4 seconds , quarter mile in the 12's and a top speed of over 150.   All this and...with the wind blowing in your face.... Just like the old days when you could ride a Harley with no helmet... back before the Amish noticed em.

Just like a big block cobra in that the exhaust sets off peoples car alarms as you go by.   Quite amusing.

Call me screwed up, but when my wife and I got married, we drove clunkers until we had enough money for a downpayment on a house (Having a Mountain Marriage helped too, we married on our property in Montana, at 7,000 elevation with a small group of friends and family, thus saving about 10 grand)...after we had our first house secured, we bought a new Ford F150 which was used to do landscaping, hauling stuff around, etc. It was not until after buying our 2nd house that we bought another new vehicle, a Ford Explorer, which is my wifes dream car.  Now that everything is in place, kids education money, etc...I get my dream vehicle come this fall..anything I wanted granted it was under 50K...guess what I'm settling for?  A plain Jane Ford F250 4WD (Diesel)....I've always considered a vehicle to get me from point A to point B, and the usage from that vehicle,ie. I *need* a pick up truck for hauling wood, hauling a travel trailer, hauling mountain bikes, etc.  I guess I never got suckered for that 'American Dream' bit when it came to a car.

Sounds cool lazs. I don't think I've ever seen one.

Love it Staga LOL! Cool! All you need now is that water bed in there, a black light, some incense burning and The Association or the Yard Birds playing on the 8-track. You would have a real hippy van man. Peace brother. It's heavy man.

For all my love of hot V8, big block, USA iron, and I do love it, I drive a 1993 Toyota 2-wheel drive extra cab pick-up. I also own a 1979 Chevy 3/4 ton 4X4 for dragging thru the brush. The Toy has been a superb vehicle for a daily driver. Good mileage and very reliable. I will never have another hot rod as a daily driver. I learned that the hard way.   I will own another hot rod in a few years but not tell I can get what I really want. I been through the fixer upper stage and I think I've gotten over that. The next one will be a turn key. A completed Cobra kit w/427 or a Cobra Coupe w/302. If I can find one at a less than astronomical I would like a GT40 MkII kit or a Corvette Grand Sport. Some day   Not without a reliable daily drive first.
