Ju-87D-3 bomb load too limited
« on: September 27, 2009, 07:23:40 PM »
It should be able to carry a 250 kg or 500 kg bomb in the center cradle, not just the 1000 kg and 1800 kg loads. Usefull for SEA stuff (FSO, Scenarios Snaps ect), and im sure even for some MA flights.

Submitted for your attention.  :salute

Of course it did, much more often than the relatively rare big bombs.

Ord loads for WW2 bombers were more common sense practical than maximum, there were many reason why a/c would take lighter loads; range, reload limits at bases, time to climb, max gross weight limits, ect. Case in point the 1000 lb hard points of many Allied FB a/c, most of the time they carried 500 lbers. In the case of the Ju 87 many of its sorties were flown with 500 Kg bombs. That being said if an MA player wants to strap on a 1800 Kg bomb, hey, nobody is stopping them, but its nice to have options.
