Historic Gunsights

Does anyone have historic gunsights to all the aircraft?  I tried to use some of the ones off the gunsight page, and the site in the links, but they all have a blue background.

I just got the game about a week ago, getting ready to submit my CC info when my 2 weeks are up.  Reminds me of when I first flew AWDos, then 4 years later I finally got a computer capable of flying WB.  Now AH show's up and I find its the best of the best right now, not perfect, but the most fun in any case.

Thanks much!  That P-47 page is excellent.  How do I get the blue backgrounds to go away on those gunsights?  I think its time I spent a session or two in the Training arena with a P47 driver.  The D30 and D11 fly so different from WB or AW that I'm not sure how to use them.  I keep my E up but I'm not sure on G-loading or Turn performance.

A couple P-47 links:
P-47 Thunderbolt: Aviation Darwinism
Republic's High Speed P-47M

BTW, where is a good source (websight or book) that talks about gunsights in detail (like how big the rings were supposed to be for determining distance to target).  I'm interested in using a historic gunsight for my P-47D-11, but I'm not sure which one it used.  I'm fairly certain it preceded the K-14 sight, and in Zemke's biography he talks about giving a 190 2 rings of lead and blasting away.  The closest thing on that sight you posted Funked is the Mk 8 sight, but it says that was used in USN planes.

The blue backgrounds don't show up in-game.

Just remember that a gunsight that looks good might not show up well in the game. The historical Il-2 sight on the page Funked posted shows up as a little blip. While if you used it on the P-51D it would be clear as a bell. Aircraft with a small sight glass are best used with simple sights. The bigger the sight glass, the more detail you can use in that aircraft. The A6M, Ki-61, Il-2, La5/7, and Bf-109 all have a small sight glass. In the case of the Il-2 and A6M I have to zoom slightly to pick up enough detail in the sight so I can shoot. The P-51D has the biggest sight glass I've ever seen. As a result I use simple gunsights in the above aircraft, while the P-51D is currently sporting Mino's sight.

On my website I've got a few sights, under the Files link. Mostly custom stuff I did for various aircraft, along with Mino's sight. The HTC site sports a huge gunsights gallery to pick from.
