So, now what?

We've got an M-16 half-track with quad .50 caliber machine guns. We've got a Panzer IV H with a 75mm pellet gun.   We've also got some bombers, a few dozen fighters too. So it's with little wonder I ask...

Now what?

Halftracks with 10 troops for field capture.  Maybe add an AAMG.

...or...what do you think of this one... what if you could carry someone (human, not AI) in your halftrack that could storm the map room.  Get 5 humans in (as opposed to the 10 AI) and you blow the map room and get the field.

Can you see yourself running like crazy across a field in a fire fight, taking cover (unlike our AI   ). Moreover, imagine getting dropped near the base and having to sneak in during a fight. For that matter, why not have human drunks in the C47?

Well eventually no airfields should change hands until ground forces roll through. Seriuosly, what airfield was captured by 10 paratroopers? Until fields cannot be completely captured by paratroopers (or it would take 5 goonies to do so) ground troops will not get the respect they deserve. For example, I would like having friendly armor in place on a airfield a requisite for capture, or at least lots of infantry (for bases unassailable by armor)

  • IL-2 Sturmovik
  • Sherman tank (faster, but weaker...so the Panzer IV doesn't become obsolete, just different)
  • Lancaster bomber
  • 88mm AAA
  • Permanent ground clutter
  • M-7 Preist or German Hummel Self propelled artillery.

Thats my wish list for now...
