This as u can see in the picks bellow is a gimbaled sighted weapon and deserving of a "crewable" position. The other night I lost my main Armament on the Osty and was trying to "slew" my tank around to bring my hull gun to bear and I was SCREAMING..."Why?!, In The He!! Can't I man This Dam Hull Gun!" ( Maybe u heard me at your house?)

What he meant to say is, optics other then the driver's slot and the main gun scope aren't modeled.

Well no duh.... Then why is that same gun capable of firing in this non tank sim????

BTW it's not a navy sim either.

I didn't decide this isn't a tank or navy sim.  I think AH could easily be a great combined arms simulation myself.

It hardly wrecks the game that the hull MG is fixed forward.  I guess it just keeps things simple and clean.

I doubt HTC will ever change it.

I think you can "man" then gun. I don't drive the tank much but I do seem to remember that if you pull the trigger in the drivers position the hull gun fires. Might want to try and see. If I'm right I know it isn't the greatest way to man the gun but... I think all of the "This isn't a tank sim" stuff is lame. It isn't a navy sim either. It should have the hull gun as a manable swivel gun. It certainly isn't critical to the game but it should be there as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with jim, as said before "if worth doing, its worth doing right"

The whole, tank armour, mobility, survivablitiy model is very simplistic. So much so that adding more tanks befor it is fleshed out is probably a bad idea.
Give us better travers on that AAMG!

Another thing kinda missing on the Pzkfw IV are the smoke dischargers...

They have stated that this is a Panzer IV J. Its turrent travers exaust on the back says it is an H but what ever. If it is a J I could have the 92mm smoke-HE launcher on the roof.
Having to travers the turrent to defend vs AC is the first thing that needs fixed though. Unfortunatly I think that it just doesnt fit in to the model that they are using. They would need a turrent with a turrent and they probably dont have a means to do that.
Like ships the tanks need to have area specific armour and armour penetration. Area specific damage and crew casulties.
The tanks are fun the way they are but if we are going to show the differences between them me will need a more detailed model.
