Bomber Competition Update and Wind Profile
« on: September 26, 2009, 02:32:25 PM »
    Just want to give everyone a one week notice for the upcoming bomber competition. The event is scheduled to start at 12:00 EST on October 3. It will be hosted by myself with 4440 running the behind the scenes. Anyone with questions is invited to read the original thread or send me a PM.

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,271957.0.html

Per the original bomber competition thread here is the practice wind profile as advertised.

0-6,000 N to S at 3 mph

6,000-10,000 NE to SW at 5 mph

10,000-18,000 E to W at 8 mph

18,000-24,000 NE to SW at 10 mph

24,000-30,000 NE to SW at 13 mph

Setup procedure:

Pull up your clipboard....

Options--->

Arena Setup--->

Environment--->

Wind--->

    Enter the value and direction of each layer starting from the ground up. The wind will automatically set every layer above to the same setting. So if you change level 6,000 to 8,000 it will set each layer above it as well. Make sure to start at the bottom and save your settings after each layer. Anyone having difficulty can send me a PM and we will get it setup.

    The wind for the actual competition will have similar structure with different values and direction. This is a walk-on event but everyone is encouraged to practice and familiarize themselves with the operation of the manual bomb sight.

Good luck and hope to see you there!

Not really, it will just take practice and good knowledge of your craft.

Lets be honest, a two week'er can hit a hanger from any altitude given modest training.

Wind will keep it interesting and fresh....

With the lack of a droop in-game, we duct tape stogey in place of the rocket tube on a lead 38J.
