films of good merge tactics

Title says it all, I film my flying alot but I personally know little about what certain merges are called or how to preform them. I just wanted to see if anyones got good films of certain merges being used such as a flat turn merge, E conserving merges...anything that would help me get an advantage at the begginning of the fight instead of having to work for it.

CO E merges and disadvantage merges please

I will look and see what I have. I like the combat merge the most, a 45 degree reversal. It does put me under them but usually gives me greater E on the second merged. Then it is up into a Vert scissor. trying to get on top. Hope that helps.

That flat turn vert merge puts you in a great spot but can be countered quite easily by a person who sees it comin. These old hands in here are hard to beat. I gave ardy, ZZ, and jester fits with that till they caught on. Ardy later whooped my bellybutton and laughed at me.   

Sunsfan does a variation where he goes up then flat turns which is sickening.

Here's the only "special" merge i have on film.
http://dasmuppets.com/public/Suns/merge1.ahf - This is just a double Immel, but instead of going straight up i go flat just a tad.  

I only use 3 merges... Flat merge( I'll get this one tonight in the DA).... Double Immel for E fighting, and the one I just posted. Try not to over think about what merge your going to use, just do what ever you think is the best.

Thanks for that film billyD.  I know I'm not the original person who requested it but I've been scouring the threads for some decent 109 films, particularly merges, and haven't been able to find anything that was useful or that had a working link.

I got it Billy!  It's called the "decide if you wanna go in guns blazing or run like hell merge".  Wadda ya think?
