Hdd failure aaaaargh

My 3 month old 1Tb samsung drive just died, soooo angry right now. :mad: Cant find receipt,tho ive got about 30 others going back 4 years. Gonna call supplier tomorrow get it sorted. First its down to the dojo to beat up some yellow belts

Sorry man...hope there wasn't a lot of important data on it....









I'm pretty sure myself and some others mentioned avoiding Samsung drives in here over the past few months.

It happens.  That's what RMA is for :)  My WD crapped the bed a month into operation, so even the better makes die sometimes.  No need for the passive aggressive tiny text. 

Certainly helps if you have a stand-up gent such as TD to help out with diagnostics as well.   :aok

out of curiosity minke, how did you come to the conclusion that it has died?

I buy my computer parts from 2 vendors online.  Plus I file packing/receipts in filing cabinet.  A little work saves a lot of frustration.
In game callsign: not currently flying

I turned machine on then it hung on bios. Made a loud clicking noise,with no warning it was going to fail. I have a second older drive with xp installed that couldnt find the other drive. I disconnected and reconnected with no success.Pretty sure it is dead.
