Actually, I thought it was a good suggestion.
No sarcasm on that part.

I figured you started that post with sarcasm [turned on]... my mistake.

Back in AW Huck and our lot used to drop troops from way high before we fired the first round--then we'd have to kill everything before they landed..was ...different

There are so many ways to capture a base. That's why it always amazes me to see these squads use the same 3 plans over and over.  Some defend their ideas by saying things like.... "We ran an all P47 mission". And that is different from the all 110 mission, or all nik mission how?

They use strategy. To most of them that means they pick which most recently captured base is the least porked and attack the closes enemy base from there.

HTC has provided a wide variety of "toys" to use to play this game. Mix them up, fight a 2 front war, attack from the air and ground at the same time, co-ordinate strikes from different bases to hide your strength until they all join up and attack.

And by all means, no matter what you do, think about making it fun for everyone.

How about folks play the game the way they enjoy it. If folks want to use the same plane, who cares. I don't care if people want to run NOEs, in-your-face or whatever. What I do want is for people to enjoy what they are doing. Large squads don't matter to me. Just offers more targets or more interaction. Depending what side of the fence I'm on.

Disclosure: I am not a part of any squad and I haven't officially joined a mission in about 3 months and maybe only a handful in the last year.

What do I enjoy? Just winging it, heading to full herds, helping capture bases, and hurting some feelings :devil. What I find boring, bombing and gv'ing. I can't hardly get a gv across the base without thinking, jeeze this is slow. Funny thing is I use to do marathon drives.

As I said before, I am glad CJ's enjoyed themselves. I flew with them for a bit the other day and really had a good time. Some fine folks there. And no, I'm no looking for a squad. :salute
