Its full of stars..............................
« on: October 24, 2009, 10:21:36 PM »
I built a new system around the same time we got the new update so I am not sure if its something I did or the game itself. The problem is the game crashes.I will be playing then all of a sudden my screen changes to the "shaded over" nite sky with stars "I even had the moon in the middle on the last crash" and it freezes up.I usualy hit ctrl-alt-del or sometimes I have to hit the reset button on my box.I also noticed my clip board gets shaded over sometimes and it starts to spin but doesnt spin all the way.

Let me know if you guys need more of this.
Thanks
Pipz

I turned off screen saver and sleep mode.I just went into the game and played for a hour maybe and the game didnt crash.Maybe that did it.I checked for that AMD update and my version is newer so I obviously didnt do anything with that.I was going to install that Optimizer but think I will wait and see how it runs.

You have two active sound cards in the computer.  That will cause all manner of bizarre problems.  You need to get rid of one of them.

That looks better.  You did remove the drivers for the old sound device, right?

Rite now I just have the old sound device disabled.I had removed the drivers but I got a warning "Explanation point" in the device manager list.Would that matter? The device I removed was the "on-board" sound. After I had removed the drivers I also got a notification in the tool bar that a device was found on start up.Should I just remove the drivers completley and cancel the tool bar warning out?

Thanks
Pipz

You need to disable the sound chip in the motherboard BIOS.
