My friend downloaded some new maps for the game Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. He said to get the maps you have to take a quiz about military stuff and score an 80% or high.
Anyways, He says that if he makes a server with the new maps then anyone can join in and play (even if they don't have the new maps downloaded). I think he's just making that up since every game I have or heard of you have to download new maps before you play on them. Is he right about this one game, or he just making it up?
I really don't see how someone can play on a server that they don't have the map too, or even started download of it.
