Pumpkins
« on: November 01, 2009, 06:35:19 PM »
Carved some pumpkins over the weekend.  They didn't turn out perfectly, but end results were ok on the whole.  Lots of work, but fun.  I took the pics by turning off the lights and sticking my keychain led flashlight in the top and taking a pic with my camera phone.  I know the pics aren't great, but I don't have a proper digital camera, just the cell phone camera.  Anyway, here they are...

and I guess "frailer" is also the right word, since one of it's meanings is easily broken or destroyed; fragile.

I did one very similiar to your spider pumpkin. Took a good while to carve since my wife didn't actually buy a roundish pumpkin but its half-wit brother.  Looked real good on halloween night and by the next day it had collapsed in on itself.

Yeah, I just now threw them all away.  They were still in good shape, I just think it's better to throw them away while they're firm and unrotten than waiting another few days till they're nasty.  I like the carving, the cleaning out and scraping, not so much.

By the first one, might I assume you to be a Pastafarian?
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Ha!  I wondered if anyone would catch that.  I'm mostly a Dudeist, really, but I have a big and special place in my heart for the FSM, of course.  I was a pastafarian all the way until I found out about Dudesism, for sure.
