Think about this...

Spawn points could be associtated not with the train, but with the rail line. A line could have spawn points scattered along it for whatever reason, and when a train was driven to and stopped at the spawn...the train could be a source of vehicles not unlike a carrier near a seaside base...

That would certainly make trains a very desirable target as well as asset.

My real job is a railroad engineer for over 35 years. If Hi Tech wants some ideas for trains I would offer my assistance with my knowledge. This does not include the terrain editor. Just movement.

I agree with subject, but I would like to add to reply about spawn point near the rail road, that would mean increasing the lethality of the train to give some what of a fighting chance against a tank, just my thoughts on that.

The more I hear, the more I like.

It's ALL about Logistics, baby!

Teh GMC truck and teh steam locomotive won teh war! (I believe Zhukov even said as much, with a particular tip of the hat to the US.)
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB
