I've never played WaW but there's nothing like you describe in MW2. Snipers get ghillie suits but they're just more difficult to see, they aren't actually hidden.
My bad. I've never played MW2 but have simply seen the gripes from it, I had just assumed that they rolled over there ungenius camouflage idea into MW2. I laughed at the gillie suit deal in COD4, they were bright green and made snipers stick out like sore thumbs!
To each his own, however. The squad-style play of BC2 is phenomenal IMO. None of the run around the map aimlessly and knife-a-thons. If you go past your squad "line" in this game, or you don't bring at least 3 people with you when 'heading in', you won't stay alive very long.
Some people might not like the tanks, choppers, and what not but they are a hoot in their own respect. The quads are fun to run around on as well. There is a niche for everyone. Snipers, assultists, guys who like to repair tanks, medics (even though they tend to just level up medic for the M60). Each map accommodates each style of game play good as well.
