So amazing, yet pitiful at the same time.

What's pitiful about it?
Only half of the vehicles on it look any different today than they did then.
In fact, if you go back only 18 months or so, only the Bf 109E was any different.

Why do you assume I don't already have AH1?

Do these look familiar? ;)

There are 29 other planes that you will seem like deja vu if you take them up in AH I ;)

It seems that they HAVE modified the textures on the Goon... :)

Detailed terrain, hi res texture pack, 1 notch of AA, 4096x4096 Shadow maps, 1680x1050 res (22" monitor). Maxed for practical purposes.

I see. i will make no further assumptions. but, for the sake of my arguement, look at the 109's.

There's still a significant portion of the planeset that hasn't been touched since AH I, and the 109's have nothing to do with that ;)

compare the 109K from AH1 and 2. The difference is strikeing.

Yes that's because the 109 series was redone in '05.
However, a third of the planeset HAS NOT been redone at all.
In that splash, including the fleets, 6/10 have not been redone, and 3/10 have been redone in the past year and a half.

Jees, I really pity HT. He's in a no win situation.

He has the wishlist piling out posts by the hour as to whats needed, with Veteren players saying 'Oh yes its needed, It fills a massive gap in the planeset.'

Then he has another lot of players saying 'Why has nothing been added recently? The gameplay is getting stale, im bored so im leaving.'

Yet more saying 'I want this to be realistic, so it should be dont this way'

And finally he has the likes of yourself Motherland, who say 'Its pitiful that the planeset hasn't been redone. They should redo that just now.'

Which lot does he listen to? Either way, he is damned.

:salute HT for all you do

EH?? I never said anything was pitiful. He said the splash screen was pitiful and I pointed out it isn't much different than what it would look like today if HTC had decided to use those planes.

Bubi, I apologise, I assumed, wrongly that you were taking a dig that it hadn't be redone. I just wish people would accept its a small company and there is a limit to what they can do.

You've been around longer than me, so I assume im preaching to the converted.

I only started playing in early 2007, I only downloaded AHI a few months ago.
I wouldn't rag on HTC about slow dev. times though, I know how they work. :)
