AH Freezing/Head Position Bug in Viewer
« on: November 16, 2009, 11:51:14 AM »
In the past couple of weeks, the AH program freezes at least once a day while playing. Additionally, this may be related or not, when viewing films the program will stop working. Also, when the "use recorded views" box is checked, the head positions for the views are waaaaaaaaaaay off. This started as just for example the rear left view but now includes most of the views except forward. I tried resetting the head positions while using the viewer which works until the program is closed then restarted or a different film is viewed. I am running AH on Windows Vista.

Has anyone else encountered these problems? It feels like there are corrupted files somewhere, does an uninstall/reinstall sound like it may be the solution? I do have all my settings backed-up if it comes to that.

I find AH film viewer to be prone to crashing as well. The AH program itself no.

As far as head views, I have no problem with them being "way off". I use Vista as well.

Since AH1, I've always had problems with the film viewer program locking up or crashing, but the game is generally ok with the exception of the problem I've been having in the last couple weeks with the stick buttons not wanting to work in the MA sporadically. Interestingly though, the hat switch in game is where it started, I wonder if it's related to your problems with the views in the viewer. Mine started with the last patch.
