AvA War - The Battle of the Reichswald (Dec 3-17th)

Come and fly in one of the last air battles of the Luftwaffe against the American USAAF as the American forces test their resolve in the outlying German forests before the push into the heartland.

This is a 'squad' based war where you choose your alligence. Individual pilots are asked to join or create the recommended ones to ensure their score is tallied toward the war effort.  The top four squads for each side at the end of the month is tallied up for both ground and air.

The Battle of the Reichswald occurred in a forest in Germany from February to March in 1945.  Both the American and German forces fought hard in this hard battle for two months which would determine the outcome of any further pushes into German territory.

How this Works
- Squadrons need to register in the respective Axis vs Allies forum topics.
- Individual pilots are recommended to create of the four historical squads or join them if already in existance.
- The winning side is determined on top two SQUADRON scores and top Ground squadron. They MUST be one of the squadrons however to qualify for the event.
- Should there be a split between ground and air battles, there will be no individual side winner but a tie.
- Each side has a budget. Squadrons are to appoint a commander and a representative for the respective AvA forum. Once each squadron has a rep, they can PM the AvA staff for access to the private forum channel.
- Although the war is over December 17th, units are encouraged to continue and fight in the AvA until December 31st as the scores are based on month performance, not the two week event.
- Remember, the more stuff you blow up and/or shoot down, the more points your squadron gains.
