Mogadishu...

Yep!  Good job :) You post one now. :)
Oops, you already did :)

It's just west of Area 51, underground nuclear testing site centered at 37.04.24.60N, 116.02.06.38W
(my son knew that picture from memory, so we looked it right up... woot!)

I know I'm getting out of order, but this was just too good to pass up!

Hint: It's where Texas is going to get beat next week,  thereby saving UT the embarrassment of getting slaughtered in a possible national championship bowl game.  :neener:

Snefens, yours looks pretty consistent with the terrain/communities in Latvia & Estonia... but I'm tired of looking. I'll look again after a nap & a cup of coffee. :)

Sorry, forgot I had this out here.

More hints:

-Not on american continent.
-Town has about 40,000 inhabitants.
-The upper land area is part of a large peninsula.

I love this game, but this one has me stumped.   :headscratch:

  • Not a mountainous area.
  • Appears to have a clover leaf type highway interchange.

Is the peninsula part of a continental land mass, or an island?

Ok, more hints:

It's on the Euro-Asia continental plate.
The Germans got within 60km of this important rail line (the one crossing the bay) in WWII.

The land does not look highly parceled.  High latitudes?
