Version 2.17 Patch 2 Installation Error

I'm currently running version 2.17 Patch 1. I just tried to manually update to the 2nd patch but I keep receiving the error message:

"The file C:\PROGRA~1\HTC\ACESHI~1\stdshapes.res is not a valid previous version and could not be upgraded."

I re-installed 2.17 patch 1 again (which worked fine) then tried the 2nd patch again but it still failed. Anyone know what the problem is?

I have a path of C:/Hitech Creations.  I don't think it goes to programs anymore.

If you mean you DLed it from the main page, that seems to link to the 2.16 to 2.17.2 instead of a 2.17.1 to 2.17.2.  It may be intentional, not sure though.

Meaning, you need to have Version 2.16 to get 2.17.2 manually, unless they fixed the link recently.

create a folder on a drive of your choice called "Hitech Creations", now move your whole "Aces High" folder into this new folder.

The games new filepath should now be C:/Hitech Creations/Aces High

of course you don't have to put it on the C drive. Now try installing the patch. It should run through install just fine.

The patch from 2.17 Patch 1 to 2.17 Patch 2 is so small, we just let the auto-updater handle it.

http://downloads1.hitechcreations.com/patches/AH2171TO2172.EXE is the file for patching from Patch 1 to Patch 2 of Version 2.17.
