1a) I joined AH in one of the last beta tours......followed hblair here after he mentioned it and talked me into trying it out......he knew I was sick and tired of the "we don't give a toejam" attitude iEn and Hotseat were dealing. I tried it, was skeptical at first, then I got a better video card, and have been here every since.
1b) HTC amazes me.......players suggest new ideas, and before too long, we have it in the game! These guys care about the community, they're not just doing lip service when they say they will look into bug/problems in the game. Refreshing when I remember the "it's our game, you fly what we want you to fly" and "I am tired of being bothered by you people and what you want" we always got when we asked Hotseat and company about gameplay issues.
2a) I see AH continuing to pioneer unexplored area of flight simming.....while they will always have the normal stable of WW2 planes (109, 190, P51, P38, Spit, etc), only AH has those heretofore unrepresented aircraft......N1K2, Macchi 202/205, AR234, La5/7, etc......and I see them doing more of the "unique" or lesser known planes.....everybody models the Stang and Spit and 109.......only AH has the ones the really hardcore flight sim enthusiasts want to see and fly.
2b) Hehehehe......I want to see them look at not only what the aircraft manufacturers sent out the front door, I want to see them look into what made a particular plane successful.......or survivable in combat (like uprating an engine for more power if it was done that way in WW2) and incorporate THAT into the game. Also........while others may dislike the idea, what I want most is to see a historical arena.....one where you take a Spit up and you are not gonna be fighting a Stang, or another Spit, or any Allied plane.......the #'s in the MA may drop, but I think that will be offset by the folks who want to fight an historic battle.....Allies vs Axis, the was it was in WW2.
