As you get closer to a target, the updates on position happen faster. If one or both folks have any lag it will quickly become more apparent as the updates increase. More updates.... more information for your machine to digest.

That is why it seems a person warps only as your about to shoot them. It is not on purpose. When you get close, the volume of information both machines have to process will bring to light any lag or deficiency in both machines or connections.

I know all that, but I also know that pulling modem cable out of socket for a brief moment produces the same effect.(Although impossible to produce evidence, that's why it's done...) :rolleyes:

this is just not true.
