Till deth I am doing new build for a friend would like ur advise on msi p45 platnum mb and what processor to go with it.

Case is gonna be ???

MB is gonna the msi.

Processor is ???

Vid card is 9800gtx + (I have this one and it works great)

Windows 7 ultimate with all needed updates

2 1tb hard drives and at least 4 gig of ram

Also have 550 watt power supply..

Let me know what you think plz.

I'm not TD, but what is he going to be doing with it? That would decide the processor. Depending on your price range and use you can go from a Dual Core up to an i7.
He is and now I am a fan of NZXT and I recommend to everyone an NZXT case. They've got the simplest cases up to the neatest looking.

Although I have 1 MSI MB computer, I'm not a big fan of them.  Of course everything depends on budget and what the comp is going to be used for.  First, get rid of the 550w power supply and get a real one, then decide if want something like the duo core 8400 or quad core 9400.  Memory can run from the cheaper 800 up to the uber 1200 depending on $ available.  Stick with the NZXT Tempest case for @ $100.00, TD built my comp in one and I used it for my last customers build, it's just fantastic.
