FW-190D-9 is mission a fuel tank
« on: December 27, 2001, 07:17:00 PM »
My referece books show the D-9 having 3 fuel tanks, the aft, the foward and the aux tank.

The aux tank could be used for fuel or MW50 according to my sources.

Y no MW50 in AH????   :(

g-10 and d9 have mw50 its just not model like the fuel tanks.

It should be guaged on the cockpit and tied to fuel multiplier so that when its gone its gone. You would have to refuel rearm to replenish it.

which i would be all for.

As far as I know, the methanol/water tank is large enough for many boost sessions. You would run out of fuel before MW.

Very simple spoken:

The aux tank of the FW190A is used in the D9 to store MW50.

The D9 had enouhg MW50 in this tank for 40 minutes MW50 use. But as most will know MW50 use was limited to a max of 10mins, but you could fly longer on MW50 if you were risky  ;).
