Can't run Aces High .exe

Hello I go back a ways with aces I don't stay tied constantly to the tit but I get active when I get the 'urge'. I thought I would drop a few bucks on Texas but am now being told "aceshigh.exe has stopped working'  I would love to post anything that might be of help. But the searches reveal that the requested info varies widely so I will hope someone can tell me what config, log, inf, etc.... file you would like to see.

have you tried redownloading it? and whats your operating system?

Aceshigh may go brain-dead and not start if you don't have speakers or joystick plugged in and working. Other than that try posting in the tech support forum.

Ensure you have your soundcard etc all plugged in (it wont start with no soundcard etc). If that dont help, push a dxdiag up in the tech support forum.

To run dxdiag, click start, run, type dxdiag - it'll pop it up on your screen. Once done, save as text file (buttons on the bottom) and paste the first 1/3rd up in the forum and hopefully someone will spot what your missing mate.

He is right. I have found that even if my headphones are plugged in, if they are muted, AH will not load. Also if this is your first time downloading any patches, and you are running vista, when you go to download the patch, you have to run aces high as administrator.

Lol I'm old like 50 + I am not a newb I made my first computer with a 8088 processor so I am not totally ignorant but this is throwing me for a loop and I really like shooting down folks when I can get on line.
