Perhaps but I have to consider that I'd probably still be forced right through that same bad server/hop..............

The server belonged to Southwestern Bell IIRC and acted up from time to time way back then but wasn't as bad as it is now.

Consistently bad...........

Often enough that "planes are not where you see them" is the norm.
