As I DL new terrains, some of my films are starting to crash the film viewer again.

Mine is an ATI too.  Went over to a buddy's house the other night and he's running an Nvidia card and he was not having this problem.  I don't see how it could matter with the terrain, but just trying to figure out what's going on.

The problem is with the new terrains. I uninstalled AH after the the new version came out & did a fresh install so I wouldn't have all the patches, etc...
This caused almost all of my films to crash the film viewer. Most of the guys who did the patch update didn't have this problem. I had an old saved terrains folder for a backup. I switched it out with the new one & ALL of my films worked again. That is until I had to start downloading new terrains that were added to the game. As I DL the new terrains it seems that several of my films are starting to crash the film viewer again.

I hope the upcoming update will address & fix this bug.

Hey guys.

I'm unfortunately having the exact same issue. I have a ton of films that I would not like to lose.

Here is a link to a thread on my forum about this issue. Good luck, its in polish.

Here is a direct link to the movie. I up my Spit and take on a group of 38's, managing to shoot some of them down.

I cannot open it or any of the films from that period without crashing the viewer on load.

I made the mistake of downloading all the new terrains to see if it would fix this...

Now 90% or more of my films crash the viewer.

Does anybody have a recent (pre-new-terrain) archive of the MA maps that they can put online for the rest of us to download?

Swapping them in and out is a bass ackwards way of getting it to run, but frankly I need to get some footage off of some of these films before the NEXT issue makes previous films unplayable (again)...

(sorry if that sounds bitter, but there ya have it)

Unfortunately I just dropped the saved terrain folder into my AH folder. I should have copied & pasted it there. Now I no longer have a backup file for terrains.  :uhoh

Edit
Just found another backup terrain folder on a cd. I tried it & the film viewer is working.
Don't know where to upload it to share though.
Tried file front & it wants one file at a time

Skuzzy PMed me with the following.

Sorry about that.  The problem lies in the terrain used inthe film.  It is a terrain that has been updated to the new standards, but in the film viewer the terrain is the old version.

In the next patch this problem will be corrected.
