Interesting die cast WWII A/C maker
« on: January 02, 2010, 10:33:00 AM »
This Hong Kong based company manufacturers some very interesting die cast WWII aircraft.

http://www.cheungs.com/en/prod001.htm#

I sent them an e-mail requesting the name of any U.S. distributors.

I see Blenheims, Ju 88, Lockheed Hudson, Ju 188 and Condor... Very nice.

I collect these myself, im up to about 130 pcs all WWI and WWII planes. Mostly 1/72 scale some slightly larger but all diecast metal. I usually buy thru The Flying Mule, but If you hear back from them, id be intrested in what you find out.

Thanks for the post

Looking at their site it looks like they are manufacturers for companies that do die-cast models and not necessarily make and sell their own.

That makes sence, the stands that the planes are on are very similar to Corgi stands

I'm sure that is the case... Still, we have a Chinese subsidiary company not far from Cheung's. I have several engineering associates there. I'm wondering if we could manage to purchase some of these directly. If not, I'm hoping that they can give a list of US distributors of their die cast aircraft.
