B17 Performance?
« on: October 06, 1999, 10:01:00 PM »
As currently modeled, the B17 can do some pretty awesome maneuvers.  Tight split-s, repeated loops at 2.5 Gs starting at only 220 IAS, very tight turns, etc.  Roll rate is glacial, but elevator authority is phenomenal and E-bleeding very low to none.

I know structural limits ain't implemented yet but I was doing these moves at less than 4 Gs, not even close to blacking out, so I doubt I'd have busted the plane anyway.

Is the F17--I mean B17 supposed to fly this well or is it not yet finished?

Not finished yet, as are a plethora of other items you didn't mention, such as the lack of gunners, a working norden (possibly) with adjustments similar to those on the real one, bomb bay doors that open, and the ability to salvo an amount you would like.
