That is an arguement I can respect.  :salute. Now to answer your question, its not a matter of presenting this wish above other priorities, no one is demanding that drunk skins be worked on right now at the expense of taking the armor plating away from bushes or new aircraft (or the high priority super-secret work on submarines.... :noid).  However, given that the skins were already in place for AH1, this shouldn't take an extreme amount of work to return those skins.  So, given the facts that it is requested and supported and the assumption that it will not be too much of a drain on the developers limited resources, the question becomes......why not....when they get around to it of course....no rush...... :salute

Exactly, maybe something for Christmas this year.  Or perhaps Hannuka* (is that still going?).  It would be something nice to have for all of those who run troops to town in an M-3 halftrack.  The whole point is that we had it, and now we don't.  So now, we want it back.

Please don't take this to be a wish to priortise this wish over other more important things (no more bulletproof plants, for instance).  HiTech, we beseech you, just put the darn skins back!

i think its a good idea to make the troops more realistic. Since when hav you seen pilots taking the place of ground troops en masse. they should look like soldiers and carry weapons that soldiers carry.

Go to Wichita Falls, TX on a Saturday night.

I like the idea. And again, I don't think too many people post wishes here expecting theirs to jump to the head of the line. One thing I like is the mass brainstorming that happens. Like my post on the PBY for example. And hey, if the skins were made at one point, shouldn't be a problem to put em back.

Absolutely, I truly don't see why they changed it.  And if Skuzzy was like any other intelligent skinner I know, he probably still has the code for those troops stashed away somewhere!

The pilot in IL2, Pacific Fighters, runs and all...... I made a stupid movie back when... but it shows the potential as a Troop by adding a helmet. I would be clueless how to do any of it but it does look cool. Sorry you have to watch the who thing to see him bail after the landing. (fast forward)

I think one of the issues in revamping the drunk model (to give them more fluid movements instead of the frozen stick figure pose they have now) is the lack of a character animation system that would need to be created.  So, maybe it's just an issue of priorities and revamping the drunks is low on that list.

...Which, IIRC, was one of Hitech's wishes and discussed at a recent Con.

Simple fix...  Just use the prop animation we have on the planes for arm and leg movement and let em run :P

Can I put "ACME Delivery" on the side of the Goon then?
