Even in AHwiki it says its not worth the perks when a spit 9 or 16 are available.

1. If the K4 had a 120 - 20mm lazers in each wing with the 13mm's on the hood, would it be perked because it could spray like the spit14 vs. 65 - 30mm grenades in the nose the K4 is limited to now?

2. If you allow average players inexperienced in the K4 and spit14 to dive both airplanes side by side from 7k starting at 350 mph to pick ground level planes directly below them, who has the better chance of not augering in?

3. If both planes survive the latter dive to pick on the deck and a spit8 or spit16 has followed them down and up into their escape climb, which plane on WEP will escape climb away from the spit8 or spit16 who has also pulled up from the 7k dive and is now climbing on WEP?

4. From 12k to the deck can the spit14 save itself by diving away from the 51D, P47D40 - M & N, FW190D9, Ta152, spit8-16, La7, Yak9U and P38J-L?

5. At equalised speeds in furballs from the deck to 12k or 15k, can the spit14 outclimb the K4? (The compairison charts for WEP show the K4 superior at MA standard alts.)

6. At 300+ mph what can the spit14 out turn?

7. At 200-275 mph what can out turn the spit14?

The muppets and a cadre of players fly the K4 so successfuly they make it seem to need a perk. If they spent the same time in the spit14 it would become a wonder wheapon landing 5-15 kill streaks. For myself with experience against muppets as an average player, who there are a lager number than the aknowleged Expertin like Grizz and the muppets, the spit14 would be more of a death trap than anything else. The muppets and cadre with their K4's would purposely make the MA unhealthy for unperked spit14's in the hands of most players. A spit16 would give them a better chance to survive in most cases.


So where can I find these answers or do you have them?

Yes because the K-4 is a comparatively stable gun platform. In the Spitfire XIV the inherent accuracy of the Hispano is offset by the fact that the Spitfire XIV's nose has a mind of its own. Also consider that the Hispano has a much higher fire rate than the MK 108; I don't think the Siptfire MK XIV has significantly longer firing time

2. The question should not be can the Spit save itself.  It should be can it catch these planes once they see they are going against a spit  :rofl
