Mouse freezes
« on: December 14, 2009, 06:49:08 PM »
Hi:

Yesterday I attempted to start AHII and as soon as the opening screen appeared my mouse froze. After a minute or two, I can move the mouse pointer, but there is a lag of about 5 to 10 seconds before the pointer actually moves after I move the mouse. I thought that I had corrupted my install of AH, so I downloaded the game and installed it today. I have the same problem, which means that I cannot get into Aces High.

Any one know what the cause and the fix is?

Edit: the mouse works perfectly in every other program in Windows (XP Pro 64) and, up until now, hasn't given me a problem in Aces High for 9 years!

Found a workaround by using Search function. At opening screen, Alt+Tab to the desktop, then go back in and everything works fine.

Is it a bug?

I still get this eh, dont know if its vid drivers or what, I just use the alt tab etc, and live with it. After one patch a while back it went away, then came back with the next patch. Game works fine otherwise.
